CONTAINED REVERSE OSMOSIS DESALINATION PLANT. Al KHOR 1, QATAR

The project included the design, manufacture and installation of a reverse osmosis desalination plant to treat well water, with a capacity for producing 2000 m³/d, for OGSICO Company in Al Khor, Qatar.

The plant is powered by solar energy and has a treatment with the following stages:

  • Sodium hypochlorite dosage
  • Filtration by ring filter
  • Antiscalant dosage
  • Bisulfite dosage
  • Microfiltration by cartridge filter
  • Reverse osmosis treatment
  • CIP cleaning
  • Soda dosage
  • Sodium hypochlorite dosage

The destination of the treated water is human consumption and in agriculture.

La planta dispone de un tratamiento con las siguientes etapas:

  • Planta de pretratamiento compacta
  • Tanque de homogeneización
  • Reactor anóxico
  • Reactor biológico de tipo MBBR
  • Dosificación de coagulante
  • Decantación
  • Tanque de agua clarificada
  • Tratamiento terciario mediante filtración de arena y
  • Desinfección mediante UV
  • Tratamiento de lodos mediante decantador de fangos y sacos filtrantes

El agua tratada es reutilizada en actividades agrícolas y riego de áreas verdes.
